2026 Adams Presidential Center Teacher Institute (APCTI)

There is no better way to explore the American Revolution and John Adams’s leadership within the Founding Era!

Come immerse yourself in Boston, Massachusetts to learn more about the people, places, and events that shaped one of America’s most influential Founding Fathers.

The Adams Presidential Center Teacher Institute (APCTI) is a fully funded 5-day professional development workshop designed to deepen K–12 educators’ historical knowledge, build a robust teacher community, enhance instructional methods, and ultimately foster students to be more informed citizens. The APC will cover all costs for teachers including travel, housing, meals, and site tickets for this revolutionary experience.

  • Learning from leading scholars and museum experts
  • Engaging with artifacts
  • Modeling lessons that weave history and civics together
  • Building new professional relationships
  • Reinforcing the Adams’ relevancy to today
  • Field trip sites to include:
    • The Adams National Historical Park, Quincy
    • Quincy Historical Society, Quincy
    • Massachusetts Historical Society, Boston
    • The Freedom Trail, Boston
    • Concord Museum, Concord
